Highly Customized Immersive and Themed Presentation Environments
The roots of Stewart Filmscreen run deep in creating the imaginable — and a little of the unimaginable as well. We have decades of experience working on custom projects that don't fall into the ordinary. We've embraced and thrived in the world of simulation too. We are set up to listen, design and execute so that your unique set of ideas becomes a completed, optimal imaging experience.
Immersive 360 degree environments, faceted cockpit simulators, motion base carried front and rear projection surfaces, and spherical sectional builds are all embraced at Stewart Filmscreen. We'll go for it and make it happen.
With the help of some industry luminaries and our partners in the display industry, Stewart Filmscreen developed the Torus screen. Torus screens are unique, compound curved surfaces where a horizontal curve and a vertical curve yield a shape somewhat like a section of a sphere or toroid. Torus screens are distinctive in their ability to deliver light to a viewing area regardless of the angle of incidence. The result is uniform illumination of the screen’s surface and increased brightness for both 3D or 2D immersive presentations.
We can go there. When a zero edge, floating image is the goal, and the picture is large scale, the ladder frame is what you need. This front projection frame system allows wrap around images up to 30 feet high by 89 feet wide, flat or curved. Ladder Frame systems deliver amazing image quality and, they are magnitudes less expensive than LED displays.
The Ladder Frame design is a large scale, borderless configuration that appears to float in front of other design elements or surfaces. This progressive frame and screen system utilizes a truss structure which is perpendicular to the image plane. Using aircraft quality 6061-T6 aluminum to construct the frame, we wrap the unit in a seamless, 16K+ Stewart optically immaculate fabric. The wraparound lacing installs easily with a minimum 3 inch clearance around the unit. A Velux covered Sintra panel is installed over the shock cord lacing, giving the system a streamlined appearance.
Customers such as NASA, Boeing, Northrop Grumman, Lockheed Martin, Q4 Services and numerous airlines and related companies are all entrusted with equipping and training military and scientific personnel. They work in a zero tolerance for error zone and demand the very best. As an ISO 9001:2015 company, Stewart Filmscreen gets the details right and delivers the tech.
Plan thoroughly. Assess and manage the risks. Then, execute the plan. That's how we do it.
