Torrance, CA and Atlanta, GA (CEDIA) - September 9, 2009 - Stewart Filmscreen Corporation®, the industry leader in precision projection screen technologies for residential and commercial markets, announces the launch of a new one-of-a-kind LED Accent Lighting System.

Stewart’s new LED Accent Lighting System is designed to enhance viewing environments and create mood lighting for any room in the house. LED strips can be placed virtually anywhere and can create any imaginable hue from a palette of 16 million colors. It is perfect for entertaining, creating the ultimate viewing environment for your home theater system or providing accent lighting for your home décor.

Stewart’s new LED lighting system features an Intelligent Lighting Controller (ILC-100™) with a built-in IST (Intelligent Selector Technology), which enables users to control the color temperature and brightness of the LEDs within seconds to create the ultimate atmosphere. Unlike traditional LED lighting controllers, the ILC-100™ allows any imaginable hue from a palette of 16 million colors to be user selected, saved in memory and dimmed..

Stewart’s optional BSKP-2110-L™ Intelligent “Chroma” Keypad offers a low-cost lighting solution that can adjust, select, and store any lighting value on one or more lighting controllers. Any number of lighting controllers can be linked together and controlled from a single keypad. Its intuitive user interface enables up to six lighting presets to be quickly selected as well as a programmed lighting sequence. Its innovative, low profile IR receiver can be hidden virtually anywhere to receive IR transmission for ILC-IR remote unit.

External interface adapter options are also available for use with third party automation systems. The Intelligent Bus Translator (IBT™) is a robust standalone serial interface converter/firewall for CS-Bus™ and other RS-485 devices. This small form factor processor-based adapter is designed to maintain the reliability of the lighting control network while enabling external automation systems to command the lighting controller using standard RS-232-C communication. Industry standards for RS 232-C limit wiring runs to 50 feet or less, thereby restricting or increasing the complexity of their system designs. Unlike standard RS 232-C systems, the IBT™ enables control systems to be up to 4000 feet away from the lighting controller even though the automation system relies on RS-232-C communication. Stewart’s LED lighting system does not require a high voltage electrical license (Class 1) to install or program the unit.

“Stewart Filmscreen is dedicated to providing products that will help our dealers and designers expand into rooms throughout home creating the ultimate viewing environment everywhere. Stewart’s new LED Accent Lighting System is just another example of how we are constantly thinking of ways to make the viewing environment that much better. We are excited to offer a product that is a complete “one-stop-shop” solution, is engineered to work reliably in the field and can be installed easily,” stated Joaquin Rivera, Director of Sales for the residential market.

Stewart’s LED Accent Lighting Systems can be seen at CEDIA in Booth #827 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta from September 10-13. The new lighting systems are currently available and price is variable and dependent on size and options.
