Why Stewart

Torrance, CA – April 3, 2009 - Stewart Filmscreen Corporation® - Ambient light is one of the most common distractions to the perfect video display. Therefore, incoming sunlight and indoor lights must be taken into account during the design of any multimedia projection system. For that reason, Stewart created a variety of products that can help achieve the best possible image in any environment, under any circumstance.

Stewart offers both front and rear projection solutions to accommodate most environmental or budgetary constraints. Whether you are looking for a fixed frame or retractable screen, Stewart’s solutions will provide the best video display for your house of worship. Stewart’s quiet electric screens allow the screen to remain hidden when not in use but then can be quietly raised or lowered during the service without creating a noisy disruption.

In cases of new construction or when adequate space is available, rear projection systems are recommended to offset ambient light. Stewart offers many flexible and rigid materials to best match your environment, projector type and intended use.

However, when a front projection system is preferred, Stewart offers several image enhancing screen materials including GrayHawk, FireHawk and FireHawk LS that help reduce the effects of ambient light on your video presentation.

Choosing the right screen for your environment is critical. Projector technology is constantly improving, therefore in a 15-20 year span you will most likely replace your projector 2-3 times. Stewart screen solutions will last 15-20 years with proper care and maintenance, investing in the best will pay off in the future.

A family-owned business since 1947, Stewart maintains the highest standards in screen design, craftsmanship, and customer service. Stewart Filmscreen continues to design and manufacturer innovative screen products for both the residential and commercial markets, bringing the same quality and innovation to all viewing environments. Stewart has a history in creating truly unique wow-type installations including road shows for the likes of Pink Floyd and Elton John.
