Why Stewart

Torrance, CA, February 5, 2007‚ Stewart Filmscreen Corporation- industry leader in precision projection technology in the home cinema and commercial markets is proud to report a very successful 2007 Integrated Systems Europe. The show took place January 29-31, 2007 at the RAI Convention Center in Amsterdam, NL and broke records with attendance figures exceeding 16,000 along with more than 40 conference and educational sessions.

Stewart was the star of the show boasting the best image fidelity on the floor. The revolutionary new StarGlas rear-projection screen‚ garnered a huge buzz. Available in two configurations, StarGlas 60 (0.60 gain) and StarGlas 100 (1.0 gain), which can be used in a variety of rear-projection applications. StarGlas 60, world‚Äôs largest black screen, offers the highest contrast ratios available for large-format rear projection applications. StarGlas 100 is an excellent choice when edge blending is required.

‚"We are extremely proud to show Stewart's exciting and innovative products to the European market," says Kasper Mortensen, Sales Manager-Stewart Filmscreen Europe. With record sales in Europe for 2006, the ISE show has set the path for an excellent 2007. The multi-award winning CineCurve, the first curved multimasking screen available in the home cinema market was a showstopper, offered in a 2.40:1 format to provide you with the flexibility of viewing a full 2.35:1 image when using an anamorphic lens. The CineCurve's multi-masking capabilities eliminate annoying black bars when watching various aspect ratios such as HDTV (16:9) or NTSC (4:3). Show-goers were impressed with Stewart‚Äôs MicroPerf X2, the next generation of acoustically transparent screen material. Attendees were given the ability to view a side-by-side comparison of the MicroPerf X2 and a woven screen product to prove Stewart Filmscreen is #1 when it comes to providing the highest quality image without reducing audio fidelity.

Stewart was well represented by many manufacturers at ISE this year. In fact, within the Large Venue Shootout, Sony made the decision to replace the existing non-Stewart projection screen they had planned to utilize with a Stewart AT-Series screen with SnoMatte 100 projection material to enhance their product, providing a superior picture. Attendees gave accolades to the new FireHawk G3 1080p, the only screen material specifically engineered for 1080p projectors. Also displayed statically at the show was FireHawk SST, a projection screen material engineered specifically for use with Sony's VPLVW50
SXRD projector.
