Why Stewart

Amsterdam, NL, January 30, 2007 ‚ Stewart Filmscreen Corporation® îthe industry leader in precision projection screen technology‚ is proud to introduce StarGlas® (patent-pending), the world's first glass architectural screen, at ISE Europe 2007.

The World's First Architectural Screen
Stewart's one-of-a-kind projection screen is not only a precision rear projection screen that offers unparalleled image quality, it is also an authentic design material, and can be installed anywhere glass can be installed.

This allows the integrator to bring their own vision to the project, while offering image quality that Stewart is known for. Both architects and AV specialists will specify StarGlas.

Because the screen layer is laminated between two pieces of glass, StarGlas is incredibly durable. Like regular glass, it isn't harmed if it is exposed to sunlight, can be easily cleaned, and has a very long lifespan, allowing commercial venues to make a screen investment once, rather than having to replace the screen after several years. StarGlas also qualifies as safety glass, which means that it can be installed where building codes specify safety glass. Because of its unique formulation, it can be installed touching the floor, an industry first. This allows for floor-to-ceiling video wall applications.

Precision Projection Technology
The team of image experts at Stewart poured several years of intensive research and lab trials into formulating StarGlas, and the evidence is in the picture. StarGlas contains a unique, proprietary diffusion layer laminated between two specially formulated glass layers. The proprietary diffusion layer and substrate combine to create an exact and bright image, in a form factor that is incredibly versatile.
