Stewart Filmscreen® Introduces Tela™ 80 Acoustically Transparent Woven Screen to Custom AV Integrators at CEDIA Expo 2015

Stewart Filmscreen® acoustically transparent woven screen offers an optically advanced option for high-performance audio/video environments

TORRANCE, CA & DALLAS, TX —(CEDIA Expo, Booth #3710) Oct. 8, 2015— Stewart Filmscreen®—Academy Award® winning manufacturer of custom engineered projector screens, screen materials, and specialty optical coatings—will showcase its new Tela™ 80 acoustically transparent woven screen material at CEDIA Expo 2015, being held October 14–17 in Dallas. Tela 80 was shown for the first time at ISE earlier this year and has since been specified and installed in high-end, high-performance home theaters, critical listening environments, and commercial applications. During CEDIA Expo several exhibitors have chosen to use Tela 80 to deliver impeccable image and audio integrity for their product demonstrations.

The direct result of consistent feedback from the AV integration community that confirmed the need for an optically advanced acoustically transparent screen material, Tela 80 delivers legendary Stewart Filmscreen image fidelity with added speaker placement flexibility, audio performance, and installation ease.

“We are proud of the positive feedback we have had from the integration community since Tela 80’s release earlier this year,” says Grant Stewart, President of Stewart Filmscreen. “Integrators finally have a woven screen solution that is equally adept at acoustic transparency and image fidelity.”

Tela 80 was formulated according to Stewart Filmscreen’s rigorous image quality standards. The woven fabric delivers an impeccable image and accurate sound, making it ideal for critical listening environments and other installations where audio integrity and image fidelity are both top priorities. Black backing eliminates any light originating from behind the screen—whether it is a light source or LED equipment lights.

Tela 80 has also now garnered the exclusive Imaging Science Foundation (ISF) certification. This certification means that the Tela 80 acoustically transparent screen has been put through rigorous testing and has been determined to uphold the Imaging Science Foundation’s exacting standards for image fidelity.

Attendees of CEDIA Expo 2015 are invited to see Stewart Filmscreen’s robust lineup of projection screen solutions in booth #3710, where Tela 80 and other new screen materials and framing systems will make their CEDIA Expo and Custom Installation channel debut.
